The Friday OT: The Dark Pond of Money

A different OT this week, check out the blurb about this documentary below. YouTube here.

For over 9 years, a former CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisor and his clients have fought an uphill battle with securities regulators, police, and the Nevada courts to regain ownership of a Nevada gold mine. The Dark Pond of Money documents the evolution of the story from the alleged theft of one mine to allegations of bankruptcy fraud, concealment, contempt, possession of stolen property, and a multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme involving public capital. Canada has become the world’s playground for financial fraud. Our relentless pursuit of justice highlights the inadequacies of Canada’s regulatory system and the need for dramatic reform.

Fraud….and to think that the aftermath of Bre-X fixed it from ever occurring again. Every decade brings new crop of fraudsters and suckers.

I love doing business in Canada where the OSC and BCSC play Minesweeper all day.

I personally nominated Maureen Jensen to the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. In my opinion, she was the most valuable asset to my business.

Hey lets make our own Minera movie. Its got all the ingredients: greed (got that in spades), corruption (positively dripping in it), mistresses (not particularly hot but hey) and the mark (that’ll be us, the investors).
