Just been announced by the company internally in this memo, dated today Saturday:
This tells us that 50 year old male worker at the Candelaria mine has been tested positive for Covid-19. He had been on vacation with his family in The USA. He had not returned to work before he showed symptoms and at no time was present at the mine. His family in Santiago is now under voluntary quarantine (and we wish them all well). It asks all employees to be vigilant for symptoms and asks that anyone who has been abroad recently should report to the company medical team immediately. Finally, that mining activities have not been affected.
