….in as many days was another interesting and enlightening experience. This time, when the pleasant and attentive lady in the building main reception tried to phone up my arrival and request for a meeting with Susan Gabbie, or Pedro Valdez, or Steve Nagatai, or CEO Diego Benavides, the telephone of Minera IRL’s receptionist was turned off. The IRL reception didn’t pick up and neither did the Diego Benavides’ personal secretary when the call was auto-forwarded to her. The building receptionist tried on multiple occasions to ring up my arrival, the phone was ringing for around 10 minutes in total.
Before leaving, the building’s receptionist commented on how odd it all was. Without commenting any further to a person unconnected with this increasingly suspicious situation, I agreed.
UPDATE: This afternoon, I established contact with one of the company executives and made my request for a formal meeting known at an official level. As they are now obliged to grant said meeting, it only remains to work out a day and time so we should start getting answers by next week, and this is good. Or at least better than nothing.
