A very interesting report in Colombia’s Portafolio website today entitled “Criminal Groups Declare War on Legal Mining”, subtitled “Geologists and engineers who go to mines have to have bodyguards. Miners who become formalized suffer intimidation, eviction and murder”. Continental (CNL.to) and Gran Colombia (GCM.to) heavily featured in the type of risk scenarios that strangely never seem to make the pages of the companies’ glossy corporate presentations.
