As at midday Monday August 5th (i.e. now) Americas time, with Barrick (GOLD) trading at U$17.86 and Newmont Goldcorpse (NEM) trading at U$37.59, Barrick Gold has overtaken NEM’s market cap and is goes back to the top of the pile as the world’s biggest precious publicly traded metals miner by market cap. This even before GOLD adds another U$430m or so when its deal to buy the parts of Acacia it doesn’t already own closes.
Jeesh Mr. Godlberg, WTF were you thinking buying that heap of junk?
