This year, the country’s mining industry moguls may want to reflect on how Canada has treated indigenous communities over the decades. All over the world.

As a country, you get to choose one of two methods of treating your fellow human beings:

  • Well
  • Badly, then apologise later, then well.

    Somewhere, in a parallel reality, wealthy Inuit resource investors in downtown Iqaluit are lamenting their ancestor’s conquest of Europe and their current subsidiary’s treatment of Europeans, while simultaneously contesting the claims of European First Nations groups and European sympathizers that the Inuit don’t have the right to work or live in colonial Europe because of the color of their skin.
