Here’s Pat Eddery riding Dancing Brave in the 1986 Arc de Triomphe. Anyone who saw the race that day will remember what they did together. The placed horses, Bering and Tryptych, were full-scale champions and have left quite a mark in thoroughbred bloodlines as well. But Dancing Brave, with Pat Eddery on board, made them look like selling platers.
Sixty-three years old is far too young. Pat Eddery, RIP.
