You get to hear about Venezuela up there (because Chávez is to blame, right?) but the rest of the continent quietly goes through the same type of malarkey too. Once again my Saturday writing schedule was put back by an extended cut (why is it always Saturday evening…WHY???) and once again the Weekly will be late arriving today. The pleasures of the third world.
The last time this happened (three weeks ago I think, or was it two?) a subscriber who is well versed in the ways of South America mailed and told me to “go boyscout”, get a home generator and cover my tush. It’s starting to really appeal as an alternative, I promise.
