Argentina has just been ranked 3rd (i.e. 3rd worst) in the TMF Group’s “Global Business Complexity Index”, a measure of how difficult it is to do business in a country. TMF Group analyzed 77 countries for factors covering legal, compliance, accounting, tax and employment rules. Examples include employee redundancy rights, human resources administration, level and severity of regulatory laws and potential sanctions, etc. In 2020, Argentina came third worst in the world. And the key to understanding the country? They’re secretly proud of that fact.
