Merval up 3.72% at 1,109 and Bovespa up 4.76% at 41,985. Y’see, it’s not just the northern markets; we’re having lotsa phoney phinancial phun down here, too.
Ventana Gold (VEN.to) up 2.1% at $1.46 and Greystar (GSL.to) down a penny at $4.00. Both these companies have been on a real tear recently. They also happen to be neighbours digging for gold in the same part of Colombia, too (though GSL.to is much further down the development track). To the reader who bought VEN.to in the 60s I now say “take those profits, dude” (you know who you are).
